Birdseye, a Canada-based ecommerce analytics platform, raised CAD 4.1 million (USD 3 million) in a seed funding round led by existing investor Drive Capital.
It plans to invest the new funding primarily in expanding its team, particularly its engineering team.
It also reported that Drive Capital's Masha Khusid will be joining Birdseye's board of directors.
Analyst QuickTake: Birdseye's latest funding round follows on its USD 500,000 pre-seed round earlier in the year , demonstrating strong investor confidence in the company's vision. The rapid fundraising can be attributed to Birdseye's strategic market positioning with its unique AI-powered marketing personalization solution.
