UrbanThings partners with Littlepay to introduce mobile payments in passenger apps

Product updates
Partnerships

  • UrbanThings, a UK-based transport technology provider, and Littlepay, a transit payments processing specialist, have partnered to enable transport operators to offer Card Not Present (CNP) mobile payments in passenger apps, with Littlepay as the payment service provider (PSP).

  • The new mobile payment solution would be integrated with travel apps and  allows passengers to link their bank card to their account in-app. This enable passengers to make contactless payments when boarding the bus or advance payments via the app.

  • The new solution has already launched on Newport Bus and Ipswich Buses apps, with additional customers set to launch soon.
