HIFOOD, the Italian subsidiary of CSM Ingredients, and the European division of Colombian oils and fats developer Alianza Team have partnered to create a plant-based fat alternative to tropical oils and chemical emulsions.
The new alternative fat combines MirrorTissue, a plant-based lipid solution by Alianza Team, and HIFOOD’s allergen-free plant proteins, soluble plant fibers, and technologies.
According to the companies, this product is versatile and customizable for various plant-based meat applications, such as sausages, meatballs, burgers, and kebabs. Further, It claims to mimic the functions of animal fats and help producers overcome melting-point issues of tropical oils while offering a clean-label substitute for protein emulsions with less saturated fat.
