French quantum hardware startup Alice & Bob and cloud computing firm OVHcloud have collaborated to launch Felis, the first quantum emulator with the ability to predict the behavior of logical qubits to the public via the OVHcloud Public Cloud platform. The terms and financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed.
Felis enables experimentation with logical qubits and makes the testing of quantum algorithms easier by handling error correction. The features of Felis are able to simulate logical qubits developed from physical “cat” qubits and examine the potential use of high-quality qubits in quantum applications. OVHcloud plans to enable access to real quantum hardware, including Alice & Bob's, by 2024.
