Infinium, a developer of low-carbon electrofuels, has secured USD 75 million in funding from Breakthrough Energy Catalyst to finance Project Roadrunner, a Power-to-Liquids eFuels project. The funding aims to develop Infinium's conversion of waste CO2 into sustainable eFuels at a commercial scale in West Texas, US.
Furthermore, American Airlines has signed an offtake agreement for eSAF (synthetic fuel derived from renewable energy) from this project to reduce aviation emissions. Infinium expects to obtain project financing and a stable revenue stream for Project Roadrunner through this partnership.
