Clever Carnivore, a Chicago-based biotech startup specializing in cultivated meat production, has raised USD 7 million in seed funding led by Lever VC, with participation from McWin Capital Partners, Thia Ventures, Valo Ventures, Newfund Capital, and Stray Dog Capital.
The new funding will be used to relocate the company’s operations to a larger facility with 500 l bioreactors and test kitchen spaces. According to the company, this will enable it to expedite expansion plans and help with its mission.
