Microsoft announced the introduction of new enhancements to its Copilot service, integrating OpenAI's latest models like GPT-4 Turbo and an updated DALL-E 3 model. Copilot will leverage GPT-4 Turbo's expanded context window, enabling better query understanding and more effective responses. The update includes an improved DALL-E 3 model for enhanced image creation within Copilot and Bing Image Creator.
Additionally, Microsoft Edge, featuring a Copilot sidebar, will allow rewriting sentences within web page inputs and summarizing YouTube videos. For developers, a new code interpreter feature in Copilot will provide code generation and execution for complex requests.
On the Bing side, the addition of "Deep Search," powered by GPT-4, will enhance search queries for intricate topics, delivering more relevant and detailed results.
Analyst QuickTake: This news comes a few weeks after Microsoft introduced several new offerings for Copilot, namely Copilot for Azure, Copilot for Service, and Copilot in Dynamics 365 Guides. It was also previously introduced in Windows 11 and Windows 10 in preview.
