Essential AI raises USD 56.5 million in Series A funding to expand R&D efforts

Funding

  • Essential AI, a GenAI-based task automation platform, raised USD 56.5 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by March Capital, with participation from AMD, Franklin Venture Partners, Google, KB Investment, NVIDIA, and Thrive Capital.

  • The funds will be directed toward deepening the company's research and development efforts with a notable focus on its full-stack AI products that aim to augment productivity by automating monotonous workflows.

  • Essential AI, led by co-founders Ashish Vaswani and Niki Parmar (former colleagues at Google), aims to develop solutions using large language models (LLMs) that can increase productivity by automating time-consuming and monotonous workflows.
