VFC launches vegan ready meals, sausages, and mince for Veganuary

Product updates

  • VFC, a UK-based plant-based meat producer, has launched ready meals, chicken-style sausages, and a chilled version of its chicken-style mince in the UK for Veganuary.

  • The new frozen meals include Chick*n Fried Rice and Chick*n Curry, which claim to be gluten-free, rich in protein, and contain one out of five recommended daily servings of fruits and vegetables.

  • The Chick*n sausages and mince are sold as chilled products and claim to be high-protein, gluten-free, and low in salt and saturated fats.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The chicken-style mince was first launched in 2023 as a frozen option at Morrisons supermarket in the UK. According to the company, it was the first of its kind, with 31 g protein per 100 g and 65% less saturated fat than traditional chicken.
