UK-based Terrapay, a cross-border payment infrastructure provider, has partnered with Orange Finances Money Mali, a subsidiary of Orange Mali specializing in electronic money, to enhance digital financial services in Mali.
The partnership leverages TerraPay’s expertise and technology in cross-border payments and Orange Finances Money Mali's operational capabilities, including issuing, managing, and distributing electronic money in Mali. This enables Malian Orange Money customers to receive international money transfers, use funds for various daily transactions like bill payments and transfers, and cash out from their digital wallets.
Analyst QuickTake: Terrapay has been expanding its global coverage and cross-border payment networks since the latter half of last year. Today's partnership announcement to enable cross-border transactions in Mali follows its partnership with Nequi and Papara to expand international payments in Columbia and Turkey, respectively.
