Kodiak Robotics, a manufacturer of autonomous trucks, has unveiled its sixth-generation driverless semi-truck designed for scaled deployment on public roads.
The truck is equipped with safety-critical hardware and software, including redundant braking and steering systems and redundant power, and utilizes Kodiak's Actuation Control Engine (ACE) system. It also features double the GPU processor cores and improved processing speed, memory, and bandwidth compared to its predecessor.
Kodiak plans to launch the technology to multiple vehicle types with plans to use the truck in its driverless operations, scheduled to be launched in 2024 between Dallas and Houston.
