Balena, an Israel-based developer of compostable and biodegradable thermoplastic materials, has partnered with Vivobarefoot, a London-based footwear brand, to introduce 3D printed, 100% biodegradable footwear made from Balena's proprietary material, BioCir .
The two companies expect to launch the footwear in Q1 2025 at a price of GBP 200 (~USD 254), manufactured in Ireland and initially available only in the UK.
