NIO, an NYSE-listed Chinese EV manufacturer, has partnered with Anhui Province Energy Group, Anhui Transportation Holding Group, and Wenergy Group to develop an open energy storage system.
The partners aim to build 1,000 integrated battery swap stations equipped with charging, swapping, and energy storage facilities in collaboration with Zhongan Energy.
Nio also partnered with Chery Automobile, and JAC Group to refine NIO's charging and swapping services. The companies will further collaborate to establish battery standards, charging and swapping technologies, battery asset management and operations, and the supply chain of the integrated stations.
