TeraWatt Infrastructure, a commercial EV-charging solutions provider, has secured a grant of USD 63.8 million from the Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Grant program. This program was created by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and administered by the US Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration.
The funds will be jointly used in the I-10 electric corridor project with the New Mexico Department of Transportation. They expect to design and operate two high-powered charging centers for medium- and heavy-duty trucks in Lordsburg and Vado, New Mexico.
TeraWatt aims to construct nine pull-through stalls at each charging center to provide ~300 truck charges daily once the project is completed.
