Nexa3D acquires Essentium to expand 3D printing capabilities

M&A

  • Nexa3D, a 3D printing solutions provider, has acquired Essentium, a provider of industrial additive manufacturing solutions, for an undisclosed price.

  • Nexa3D intends to add Essentium’s high-speed extrusion (HSE) to its current product portfolio and maximize the combined capabilities to provide 3D printing solutions to defense, health, and industrial customers.

  • Moreover, the integration aims to provide industrial customers with scalable production tools for exploring new manufacturing opportunities at scale. The company claims that Essentium’s HSE technology will enable complex polymer production applications that are 5x to 15x faster than its competition.
