v2food acquires Soulara to expand plant-based food offerings

M&A

  • v2food, an Australian plant-based food manufacturer, has acquired Soulara, a brand specializing in ready-made plant-based meals, for an undisclosed sum

  • Soulara, founded in 2017, specializes in creating plant-based meals targeting the direct-to-consumer segment. It offers meal options like Thai-style Tofu and Eggplant Caponata with Ravioli designed by professional chefs and dieticians.

  • Post-acquisition, v2food will venture into direct-to-consumer sales, moving beyond its current retail and foodservice markets. Soulara will integrate with the new entity of v2food, Flexitarian Meal Solutions, which already includes MACROS, a fitness-centric ready-meal brand.
