Choice Market, a developer of automated convenience stores, has partnered with Adroit Worldwide Media (AWM), an AI and computer vision company, to integrate frictionless checkout technology in the former's retail outlets.
The partnership aims to upscale Choice Market's automated Mini-Mart stores across locations such as universities, hospitality properties, multi-family developments, EV charging spots, and festivals, which follows Choice's recent trial of a portable store at a music festival in Colorado.
Choice Market operates five C-stores in Denver, Colorado, powered by its frictionless checkout system, Choice Now. Choice Now enables customers to enter the stores by scanning a QR code via a mobile app at the store entrance, pick up their purchases, and exit the store to automatically complete the purchase process.
