CarbonChain and thyssenkrupp partner to advance low-carbon procurement

Partnerships

  • CarbonChain, a British B2B carbon intelligence software startup, has partnered with thyssenkrupp Materials Services, a German material distribution company, to establish a carbon traceability and intensity tool for the latter's products. The partnership aims to enhance the quality of thyssenkrupp's in-house carbon footprint measurements.

  • This partnership enables thyssenkrupp’s customers and suppliers to access carbon intensity data more accurately through CarbonChain's carbon accounting software.

  • The tool will utilize asset-specific emissions factors, activity-based methods, and primary carbon data from thyssenkrupp's metal suppliers. It will be available in thyssenkrupp’s Eastern and Western European distribution units.
