Monta raises EUR 80 million to expand EV charging network

Funding

  • Monta, a Denmark-based EV charging service provider, has raised EUR 80 million (USD 86 million) in a Series B funding round led by Energize Capita. This brings Monta's total funding to EUR 130 million (USD 141 million).

  • The company expects to expand EV charging points in the UK by 80% using the new funding. Monta also plans to double its UK team to support its future initiatives.

  • This funding round was supplemented by Leadline, byFounders, AENU, Creandum, GreenPoint Partners, Quantum Light, and Export and Investment Fund of Denmark.

  • Founded in 2020, Monta offers integrated optimization software designed for managing EV requirements for drivers, corporations, and cities. The company collaborates with EV charging manufacturers to provide usage and performance statistics and to reduce troubleshooting time.
