Carbon Clean, a UK-based provider of modularized carbon capture solutions, has announced a strategic expansion into Canada with the opening of a new office in Calgary. The company plans to grow its Canadian workforce through 2024 to deliver its CycloneCC modular technology.
Carbon Clean has chosen Calgary for its Canadian presence, as it has become an epicenter for decarbonization and net-zero initiatives.
As of January 2024, CycloneCC technology is available at 49 sites globally, and the company claims to have captured 2.1 million tons of CO2 emissions to date.
Analyst QuickTake: The company has been operating in Canada for three years. Meanwhile, the company opened its US headquarters in Houston, Texas, in March 2023 , following the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) in 2022.
