Starship Technologies raises USD 90 million in funding to expand geographically, manufacture robots, and enhance product

Funding

  • Starship Technologies, an autonomous delivery droid manufacturer, has raised USD 90 million in a funding round co-led by previous investors Plural and Iconical. This brings the company's total funds to USD 230 million.

  • Starship intends to use the funds to expand geographically, introduce a robot manufacturing scheme with a yet-to-disclose partner, and further invest in its software and logistics services.

  • Starship's robots have now covered over 11 million miles across 80 locations in the US and Europe, executing more than six million deliveries.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Starship is the most funded startup in the droid-based delivery space, followed by Agility Robotics, with USD 170+ million raised to date. Starship is also one of the few droid manufacturers with established commercial operations, and its services span the US, UK, and other European countries.
