Sulapac, Verescence, and Albéa Cosmetics partner for refillable Twirl jar with bio-based, recyclable lid

Partnerships

  • Sulapac, a Finnish bioplastic packaging startup, has partnered with French perfumery and cosmetics glass bottle manufacturer Verescence and beauty and French personal care packaging company Albéa Cosmetics & Fragrance to develop the Twirl Jar, a sustainable refillable container with a biobased, recyclable lid and a glass base.

  • The lid for the 50 ml jar is made using Sulapac’s eco-friendly material, offering a greener alternative to traditional plastic lids. Verescence’s glass base comprises 20% post-consumer recycled (PCR) glass, enhancing the jar's sustainability credentials while making it compatible with glass recycling processes.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Sulapac’s latest partnership capitalizes on the rising demand for refillable packaging in the skincare market and follows its partnership with France’s Texen Group to deliver sustainable beauty packaging solutions and loan financing from Nefco to expand its business in the cosmetic sector and develop packaging solutions for other industries.
