Deep Sky partners with NEG8 Carbon to test modular DAC technology

Partnerships

  • Deep Sky, a Canadian carbon removal project developer, has partnered with NEG8 Carbon, an Irish DAC startup, to install DAC technology in Canada.

  • The partnership allows NEG8 Carbon to test its DAC Air Processing Unit, with an expected capacity of removing 300 tons of CO2 at Deep Sky's Alpha Lab test facility in Quebec. This sets the ground for the deployment of its first pilot project.

  • NEG8 Carbon is Deep Sky’s first Irish partner with a working prototype deployed in Waterford, Ireland. NEG8 Carbon’s first full-scale unit is slated for production later this year.

  • Analyst QuickTake: This partnership was announced on the heels of a similar testing project for Greenlyte Carbon Technologies , a German DAC startup undertaken at Deep Sky’s test facility last month. Greenlyte delivered a DAC unit with an expected capacity of removing 100 tons of CO2.
