UK-based quantum hardware company Quantum Motion has entered a project with the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) to build the UK's first silicon-based quantum processor test bed in its Oxfordshire site.
The prototype system will incorporate the common silicon manufacturing process used in consumer electronics. This will include high-density silicon qubits, fault-tolerant quantum computer architectures, cryo-electronic systems, and machine learning controls. These elements will enable the operation of a quantum computer and the establishment of scalable, integrated quantum technology.
