Diraq raises USD 15 million in Series A-2 funding to advance R&D

Funding

  • Australia-based quantum computing company Diraq has secured USD 15 million in a Series A-2 funding round led by Quantonation, with participation from John Higgins Family Investments, the University of New South Wales (UNSW), and existing investors.

  • The funds will boost Diraq's R&D efforts, expand its team in Australia, enter the US market, and strengthen its existing global partnerships. The company will also focus on developing a quantum chip through a standard semiconductor foundry for the next 18 months.

  • Founded in 2022, Diraq is a full-stack quantum computing company that caters to the semiconductor industry. The company’s technology revolves around quantum processors and silicon chips that utilize electron spins. Diraq achieves a single, stable, compact system fully integrated within small chipsets by leveraging existing chip fabrication technology.
