Nuro, an autonomous delivery vehicle (ADV) developer, has partnered with chip designer Arm to develop Nuro's third-generation "R3" ADV through evidenced-based technological enhancements.
Nuro plans to use Arm's Automotive Enhanced technology in its ADVs, which is expected to increase the vehicle's efficiency and range by up to 20% without altering the battery size. Further, Arm's technology supports Nuro's AI-dependent "brain," controlling operations and ensuring the safety of robot vehicles in transit.
Nuro aims to launch the R3 publicly later this year.
