Passive remote monitoring company Know Labs has unveiled KnowU, a wearable, non-invasive continuous glucose monitor (CGM). This product results from eight months of accelerated development after the announcement of its prototype in June 2023 .
KnowU leverages its proprietary sensor, which measures glucose levels by analyzing how glucose molecules interact with radiofrequency signals, using voltage readings to determine blood glucose levels in real time. It can be attached using an adhesive or worn with a strap on the wrist or forearm. The device is also equipped with onboard computing power, built-in ML capabilities, and a rechargeable battery, and an easy-to-use mobile app supports it.
Analyst QuickTake: Know Labs is nearing the introduction of the world's first non-invasive blood glucose monitor to the market as it prepares for FDA clinical trials. Other companies developing such non-invasive CGM include Biolinq , which is developing a press-on wearable patch and is also pending FDA approval.
