UK-based quantum software company Phasecraft has secured a GBP 1.2 million (USD 1.5 million) contract from the UK Government as part of the UK's Quantum Catalyst Fund to explore quantum computing in enhancing the efficiency of energy grids.
As part of the project, which commenced on January 1, 2024, Phasecraft will collaborate with the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and the Supergen Energy Networks Hub. This project was one of six projects that were selected for Phase II after the successful completion of a feasibility study in Phase I.
