Twelve, a California-based company specializing in CO2 utilization, has entered a 14-year agreement with European airline conglomerate International Airlines Group (IAG) to produce 260 million (~785,00 tons) gallons of SAF.
Under the agreement, Twelve will supply e-SAF to IAG to support five European airlines, including British Airways, Aer Lingus, Iberia, LEVEL, and Vueling.
The partnership with Twelve will enable IAG to secure a third of its SAF target of flying 10% of SAF by 2030.
Deliveries of the e-SAF are scheduled to begin early next year from Twelve's new demonstration facility under construction in Moses Lake, Washington.
