Saudi Arabia-based Tamara, a BNPL service provider, and UK-based Uqudo, a digital identity verification platform, have partnered to enhance privacy and security on digital transactions.
Founded in 2018, Uqudo offers digital identity verification services, including OCR, NFC, facial recognition and liveness, and tampering detection focused on various businesses within verticals, including FinTech, crypto, banking, and telecommunications across the Middle East and Africa region.
Through this partnership, Tamara plans to integrate Uqudo's identity verification technology into Tamara's platform offering customers enhanced privacy and security on BNPL transactions.
Analyst QuickTake: Today’s partnership news comes nearly a month after Tamara partnered with Paymob to offer an integrated installment payment processing solution for merchants in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region and within three months of raising USD 340 million in a Series C funding to expand product offerings for broader banking opportunities in GCC region.
