Meta and Headspace collaborate to launch VR meditation app at USD 30

Product updates
Partnerships

  • Headspace, a leading meditation app, partnered with Meta to launch "Headspace XR," available for an upfront fee of USD 30.

  • Headspace XR provides guided mindfulness and meditation exercises led by the same instructors familiar to regular Headspace users. The exercises cover activities such as breathing techniques, body scans, and mood tracking. Additionally, it incorporates a social element, including interactive metaverse-style gaming in vivid environments.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Headspace XR represents the company's entry into the VR market, distinguishing itself from existing players by leveraging Headspace's extensive customer base. The app also differentiates itself from its primary competitors, Calm and Insight Timer , which do not offer a dedicated VR app. Additionally, the company opted for outright sales of its app, as opposed to its standard subscription-based offerings (USD 12.99 monthly).
