Oatly, a Swedish plant-based dairy producer has expanded its product range in Germany with Oatagurt, a new oat-based yogurt range. The product comes in 350-gram cups and is available nationwide at major retailers like Rewe, Edeka, and Kaufland.
Oatgurt offers several flavors, including natural Unsweetened, Vanilla, Blueberry, Strawberry, and Mango Peach Passionfruit. It uses live bacterial cultures, which provide a distinctive fresh, sour taste associated with traditional dairy yogurts.
Analyst QuickTake: Oatly has a significant presence in Germany and has established several notable partnerships to increase the availability of its products. In October 2022 , it partnered with Aral, Germany’s largest petrol station network, to launch Oatly Barista Edition across ~1,250 Aral-owned sites, followed by a partnership with Deutsche Bahn, a major European railway company, in August 2023, to introduce plant-based Vanilla Soft Serve in self-service stations across 16 DB lounges in Germany.
