Oatly Introduces plant-based Oatgurt range in Germany

Product updates

  • Oatly, a Swedish plant-based dairy producer has expanded its product range in Germany with Oatagurt, a new oat-based yogurt range. The product comes in 350-gram cups and is available nationwide at major retailers like Rewe, Edeka, and Kaufland.

  • Oatgurt offers several flavors, including natural Unsweetened, Vanilla, Blueberry, Strawberry, and Mango Peach Passionfruit. It uses live bacterial cultures, which provide a distinctive fresh, sour taste associated with traditional dairy yogurts.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Oatly has a significant presence in Germany and has established several notable partnerships to increase the availability of its products. In October 2022 , it partnered with Aral, Germany’s largest petrol station network, to launch Oatly Barista Edition across ~1,250 Aral-owned sites, followed by a partnership with Deutsche Bahn, a major European railway company, in August 2023, to introduce plant-based Vanilla Soft Serve in self-service stations across 16 DB lounges in Germany.
