Gefertec introduces large-format WAAM 3D printer

Product updates

  • Gefertec, a provider of additive manufacturing (AM) hardware, has introduced Arc80x, a 3D printer for Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM).

  • The technology enables users to produce large components with minimal material waste. Moreover, the printer offers a modular design that can be customized as required and provides support for a range of materials, including metals and alloys. The company also claims the product eliminates expensive tooling requirements and shortens lead times.

  • Germany-based GEFERTEC offers a range of 3D printers for Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM). The company’s hardware integrates with Siemens NX CAM, a design and tooling system, to enable users to import their designs and print ready-to-use components.
