NanoGraf, a company developing silicon-anode technology for batteries, has opened a new office and manufacturing facility in Chicago.
The 17,000-sq-ft facility is the first large-volume silicon oxide manufacturing facility in the US and has a production capacity of 35 tons per year, which is adequate for 24 million battery cells.
The facility also includes 2,500 sq ft of space for R&D, quality assurance, and quality control efforts, and 3,500 sq ft of office space.
