BSF Enterprise and Ivy Farm partner to develop cultivated meat in China

Partnerships

  • BSF Enterprise, a clinical and cellular agriculture company, and Ivy Farm Technologies, a cultivated meat company, have formed a partnership focusing on fundraising, production, and broadening of cell-based meat in China.

  • The collaboration aims to secure investments that will aid Ivy Farm in entering the Chinese market and collaborating with key manufacturers to develop various cell-grown meat products. BSF will fund Ivy Farm’s scale-up in bioreactors, while 3DBT, a part of BSF Enterprise, will test its cost-effective serum-free media on Ivy Farm’s platform.

  • Analyst QuickTake: BSF Enterprises expanded to China last year with a new office in Hong Kong to introduce its City Mix serum-free media to the Chinese market. This development will likely be advantageous for this partnership and help Ivy Fams with its goal of commercializing its cultured pork globally. Ivy Farms is yet to receive regulatory approval for cultivated meat and is in talks with the UK Food Standards Agency.
