  • R egulators in California have announced a USD 236.9 million federal funding plan for 17 infrastructure projects across the state, sourced from the Reconnecting Communities Pilot (RCP) Program and the Neighborhood Access and Equity (NAE) Grant Program.

  • The funding will improve connectivity, street safety, and transportation infrastructure. Additionally, USD 139 million of the funds is allocated to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation authorities to strengthen mobility across highways and connectivity for the 2028 Olympics. 

  • The grants are claimed to benefit around one million underprivileged Los Angeles residents by enhancing mobility through multimodal investments.
