Pony.ai, a China- and US-based self-driving vehicle technology company, announced plans to open a regional R&D center in Luxembourg.
Luxembourg's national innovation agency, Luxinnovation, and other related entities will support Pony.ai in setting up this R&D center.
The new center will concentrate on advancing autonomous driving technologies and introducing tailored solutions for the European market.
Analyst QuickTake: Pony.ai partnered with Luxembourg's government earlier this month to enhance autonomous driving initiatives in the country. The R&D center, once launched, would support the company’s entry into Europe for business expansion. This can also be seen as a part of its ongoing international expansion strategy, with recent ventures in markets like South Korea and Saudi Arabia.
