Evrnu launches '360 Hoodie' made from NuCycl lyocell fabric

Product updates

  • Evrnu, a Seattle-based company that develops a wide range of regenerative fiber technologies for apparel products from textile waste, has launched its first direct-to-consumer product named the "360 Hoodie." Retailing for USD 600, the hoodie is made from NuCycl, Evrnu's recycled lyocell material developed from cotton textile waste.

  • The 360 Hoodie, part of the initial "Responsible Collection," was designed in collaboration with American fashion designer Christopher Bevans. Each piece is made-to-order using zero-waste knitting technology, ensuring minimal production waste. When the garment reaches its end of life, it can be returned to Evrnu, where it will be transformed into a new garment.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Evrnu took steps to produce its own hoodie after recognizing the challenges that brands face when faced with high development costs in producing clothing from recycled materials. The company’s D2C strategy is a step toward building momentum for its recycled fiber among brands by undertaking a product launch to demonstrate the capabilities of its recycled fabric to brands. The company also partnered with Bestseller and Zara to launch capsule collections that utilize its recycled fabric.
