Grafana Cloud introduces new application for enhanced AWS observability

Product updates

  • Grafana Labs, an open-source software platform providing observability, monitoring, analytics, and visualization, has introduced the AWS Observability app in Grafana Cloud. This application replaces the existing AWS monitoring integration and is designed to improve, simplify, and streamline the monitoring of users' AWS environment.

  • The AWS Observability application offers various features to enhance users' ease of monitoring their cloud environment. Key features include out-of-the-box dashboards for instant insight into a range of AWS services, the option to pull and tag metrics from custom namespaces for more efficient organization, and a dedicated view for Amazon EC2 for more in-depth insights into instances.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Grafana has had a hectic six months, starting with the introduction of Kubernetes support in November 2023. This was followed by the news of its acquisition of Asserts.ai, a technology designed to assist users in navigating and understanding their observability data. Recently, Grafana made improvements to address Kubernetes monitoring challenges, enhancing its current product, Grafana Cloud.
