Infinium, a developer of low-carbon electrofuels (eFuels), has unveiled the world's first commercial-scale facility to produce drop-in ready eFuels in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The plant known as Project Pathfinder, will produce synthetic, ultra-low carbon eFuels for heavy-duty transportation and chemical processes.
Project Pathfinder integrates Infinium’s fuel production technology with patented catalysts, on-site electrolyzers, a laboratory, and logistics for e-fuel production and distribution.
In addition, this facility will also serve as Infinium's eFuels Center of Excellence, providing key learnings and training programs and identifying best practices for current and future projects.
Analyst QuickTake : The company is developing more than a dozen other projects globally, in the US, EU, Japan, and Australia. These include the Roadrunner project in Texas, which will convert an existing gas-to-liquids facility into an Infinium eFuels project. The Reuze project in Dunkirk, France, is a collaboration between Infinium and ENGIE to produce eFuels from captured CO2.
