SHICKEN receives GBP 4 million in funding from Veg Capital

Funding

  • SHICKEN Foods, a UK-based vegan Asian food company, has secured GBP 4 million (~USD 5.2 million) in funding from Veg Capital, bringing its total funding to GBP 6 million (~USD 7.8 million).

  • The new funds will be allocated to enhance SHICKEN's manufacturing facility in Kent, enabling the production of a broader range of branded and private-label products for retail and food service.

  • SHICKEN Foods, founded in 2020, utilizes a proprietary technology to produce vegan dishes with chicken-like texture, using a blend of soy, wheat, and pea proteins. The company's portfolio includes vegan curry and kebab varieties, which are available at major retailers such as Tesco in the UK and Sprouts Farmers Market in the US.
