Deep Sky, a Canadian carbon removal project developer, and Avnos, a hybrid direct air capture (HDAC) firm, have partnered to deploy HDAC technology in Canada.
Under the partnership, Avnos will build and install an HDAC air handling unit (AHU) at Deep Sky Labs in Quebec, Canada, with the capacity to remove 450 tons of CO2 per annum. This project will be Avnos' first deployment outside of the US.
Deep Sky will operate the Avnos’ AHU at its innovation center, which is scheduled to be installed in Québec in 2025.
