AML3D, an Australian developer of additive manufacturing solutions, has announced plans to raise USD 3.9 million in new funding via a rights issue. The funding will be structured as a one-for-three non-renounceable rights issue, offering around 78.5 million new shares at USD 0.05 each.
The company plans to use the funding to build a new manufacturing facility in the US to cater to the growing demand, specifically within the defense industry. Based in Ohio, the facility will operate as the company’s new headquarters, produce advanced manufacturing systems, fulfill contract manufacturing, alloy testing, and prototyping contracts, and house the company’s US sales and operating functions.
Additionally, the company also plans to use the funding to expand its US employee base.
