Partnerships

  • Meltio, a provider of metal 3D printing solutions, has partnered with Accufacture, a provider of additive manufacturing services, and FANUC America, a provider of robotics and automation solutions, to introduce Alchemist 1, an AM robotic work cell.

  • The solution combines Meltio's wire-laser metal deposition (W-LMD) technology with FANUC’s six-axis robot and two-axis positioner within a laser-safe enclosure to enable the production of large, fully dense metal parts.

  • The company claims that the solution has a deposition rate of up to 1 kg an hour, a build volume of 3.2’ x 6.5’ x 3.2’, and is compatible with welding wire. Additionally, the solution can be used in the automotive, aerospace, mining, and oil and gas industries.
