French quantum hardware startup Pasqal has partnered with quantum networking company Welinq to develop tailored quantum interconnects for neutral-atom quantum computing. The terms and financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed.
The partnership will use Welinq's quantum interconnect technology to network multiple Quantum Processing Units (QPUs), allowing Pasqal to overcome the challenge of qubit scaling for fault-tolerant quantum computing.
This collaboration will set the foundation for extensive quantum networks and improve computational power by scaling up qubit numbers as well as enable secure quantum information sharing through interconnected multi-QPU systems.
