Dreamfarm, an Italian alternative dairy startup, has expanded distribution to Germany by launching its almond-based cheese alternatives in Edeka stores in Berlin. The company plans to partner with restaurants and pizzerias for foodservice distribution in the near future.
Dreamfarm produces its cheese alternative using a patent-pending procedure involving the fermentation of almonds with proprietary selected cultures. The company’s mozzarella cheese substitute has received certified liquid status from the Italian Government and is Nutriscore A-rated.
Analyst QuickTake: In November 2023 , the company secured a EUR 5 million (~USD 5.3 million) investment for widening distribution, among other initiatives. In March 2024, the company expanded to Belgium by launching its products at Delhaize stores.
