Altilium Metals partners with Talga Group to recycle EV battery graphite

Partnerships

  • Altilium Metals, a UK-based Clean Tech startup, is joining forces with Talga Group, an Australian company that develops green graphite battery anode products, to recycle used electric vehicle batteries and extract materials for use in new batteries.

  • The partners intend to recover and reuse graphite from old EV batteries—diversifying the UK's graphite source—toward establishing a stable supply of critical battery metals and minerals.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Altilum, which aims to become the UK’s largest EV battery recycler following the opening of its facility in Teeside, has been partnering with a number of companies to strengthen its recycling capabilities. Notable operational partnerships include Nissan , ABB , and UCN Chile . This latest partnership enables Altilium to recycle all battery elements and achieve full battery circularity.
