TurtleTree partners with Cadence Cold Brew to launch lactoferrin-rich performance espresso

Partnerships

  • Singaporean biotech firm TurtleTree has partnered with US company Cadence Cold Brew to launch Cadence Performance Coffee, a performance-enhancing espresso drink.

  • This new espresso product targets athletes and uses TurtleTree’s LF+, the world's first animal-free lactoferrin. Lactoferrin is beneficial for iron regulation and immune and gut health. Further, it can offset the negative impact of caffeine on iron and zinc absorption.

  • Analyst QuickTake: LF+ was launched in March 2023 and has since achieved self-affirmed GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) status and vegan certification . This partnership showcases the applications of lactoferrin beyond infant nutrition, which accounts for approximately 60% of global lactoferrin supply allocation.
