Eavor launches Alberta Drilling Accelerator with Government of Alberta

Partnerships

  • Eavor, a Canadian geothermal energy startup, has begun planning and developing the Alberta Drilling Accelerator in partnership with the Government of Alberta.

  • The Accelerator will act as a geothermal test site that any geothermal company can use to test novel drilling techniques and technology development. This is the first of its kind in Canada.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In October 2023 , Eavor was awarded a contract by the US Air Force to provide geothermal energy generated from the Eavor-Loop to the Joint Base San Antonio facility in Texas. The prototype that was to be developed is expected to fortify defense infrastructure and deliver reliable, clean energy.
