Radiant Matter raises GBP 1.2 million in pre-seed funding to expand operations

  • Radiant Matter, a UK-based startup that produces bio-based shimmer and color effects, has secured GBP 1.2 million (~USD 1.5 million) via a pre-seed round led by Sustainable Ventures, with participation from Ada Ventures, Evenlode Impact, Martlet Capital, and the Cambridge Angels group.

  • The funds will be utilized to expand Radiant Matter’s operations,, including research and development, intellectual property progression, and broadening manufacturing and commercial aspects.

  • Radiant Matter was founded in 2018 with its first solution targeting the fashion industry. Its cellulose-based BioSequin embellishment has been utilized by eco-friendly fashion brands such as Stella McCartney, BEEN London, and Pinko. The company’s technology is claimed to have applications spanning textiles, cosmetics, coatings, packaging, and the automotive industry.
